Prime Minister Nawaf Salam explained that the executive authority has warned on numerous occasions of the consequences of involving Lebanon in a useless armed conflict, stressing that the state is unable to bear the burden of entering into additional conflicts.
Salam continued that the "party" pushed the country into a dark tunnel instead of learning from the lessons of the experience of the Gaza war, pointing out that the continued state of escalation doubles the size of the threats facing the Lebanese arena.
Salam stressed that the government welcomes any negotiating formula or political endeavor that would contribute to calming the situation and preventing the expansion of the confrontation.
